THO-X

Already in my studying years, beside of learning styles and "instances of frozen notes", I asked myself frequently how figures move, how they can be described as moves in tonal fields, along triads, grids, abstract down and ups and so on. In 2001, I wrote a concept called "Harmo-Kinetics", a big name, today I should be happy when I'll totally get it one day.

Finally, it is not about harmony, it' about figures, or moves and shapes, or….

(to me, it‘s a question like „wave or particle“)

I picked up this topic in 2010, starting drom harmonically pimping up NI Reaktor's note sequencers, three years later ending in a cellular conditional decentral modular sequencer system, with…and…and…and 120 pages User guide.

Most of the problems to solve didn't have any musical aspect, I got the meaning of the word "logical", it was a big challenge, a kind of personal „Do-X“, but at the end I got my big lab for notes, relations and conditions what I had been looking for.

I asked just one company, I realized, wether it's ready or not, I need some "analogue" music to get re-balanced. It was a good decision.

Conclusions:

-Happy to have done this, otherwise I still had to do it

  1. -if you'll ever see me on stage with a laptop and a midi controller, it's surely about this:-)

  2. -Sorry, no download (>1000 h work!)

  3. -Machines can‘t tell a story.

Plans:

-Machine needs a rebuild in object-orientated code (classes!)
